Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-07

Introduction

Auth/Technic ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you visit our website or contact us.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following information:

Contact information such as your name, email address, and company when you submit a contact form or reach out directly

Communications including the content of messages you send us

Assistant conversations including the questions you type into Mason, our AI assistant, and the replies it generates (see "Mason, Our AI Assistant" below)

Usage and technical data such as pages visited, approximate location (based on IP address), browser type, device information, and log data collected automatically when you browse the site

Mason, Our AI Assistant

Mason is the AI assistant available on this site. You can use it without creating an account. This section describes exactly what happens to what you type.

What we store. We record your questions and Mason's replies so that your conversation history is available to you and so we can monitor the assistant's accuracy, cost, and abuse. We also store which documents from our library informed each answer.

How long we keep it. Conversations are deleted automatically 30 days after your last activity in them. This applies to everyone, whether or not you have an account. You can delete individual conversations, or your entire history, at any time before then using the controls in the assistant.

Who processes it. Answering a question requires sending your text to two AI providers. Voyage AI receives your question in order to convert it into a numerical representation we use to search our own document library. Anthropic receives your question, the relevant excerpts from that library, and earlier messages in the same conversation, in order to generate the reply. Both act as service providers on our behalf.

How we identify you. If you are not signed in, we set a cookie containing a random identifier so that your conversation history is visible to you and not to others. That identifier is not linked to your name or email, and it expires after 30 days.

Please do not enter sensitive information. Mason is a demonstration and a sales aid, not a confidential channel. Do not submit passwords, financial details, health information, or anything covered by an existing confidentiality obligation. Information you share with Mason does not create a client relationship or an obligation of confidentiality.

Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website and to improve site performance and usability. Google Analytics may collect information such as pages visited, time spent on pages, browser type, and approximate location.

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information. The data collected is used for analytical purposes only and is not used to identify you personally.

You can learn more about how Google collects and processes data at: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using Google's opt-out browser add-on.

We also set cookies that are necessary for the site to function rather than for analytics. These include a session cookie for the Mason assistant, described above, and, if you have an account, cookies that keep you signed in and protect against cross-site request forgery.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Respond to inquiries and communicate with you

• Provide requested services

• Operate, maintain, and improve our website

• Operate the Mason assistant, including showing you your own conversation history and monitoring the assistant's accuracy, cost, and misuse

• Monitor site performance and security

• Comply with legal obligations

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate our website and business. These providers are permitted to process information only for the purposes described above and in accordance with applicable laws. They currently include:

Anthropic and Voyage AI, which process the text you enter into the Mason assistant in order to generate and ground its replies

Google Analytics, for website usage measurement

Cloudflare, whose Turnstile service verifies that assistant requests come from a person rather than an automated script

Hosting and infrastructure providers that run the website and its databases

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law or for legitimate business or security needs.

Mason conversations are subject to a fixed limit: they are deleted automatically 30 days after your last activity in them, whether or not you have an account and whether or not you ask us to.

Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To make a request, please contact us at privacy@authtechnic.com. Some information may be retained where required for legal, operational, or security reasons.

One limitation is worth stating plainly. Mason conversations held without an account are tied only to a random identifier in your browser, not to your name or email address. We therefore cannot locate them for you on request, and we may ask you to use the delete controls in the assistant itself while that identifier is still present. If you no longer have it, the conversation will still be deleted automatically on the 30-day schedule described above.

Children's Privacy

This website is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
